Case Study - Confetti

Confetti.ie is Ireland’s premier bridal site. It is published by Dyflin Media. Dyflin’s goal was to have a user-focused website which provides up-to-the-minute bridal news and inspiration as well as an active forum and blog.

Twelve Horses was asked to create a funky, friendly and professionally designed website which accurately reflects the professionalism of the print magazine. The project needed to leverage the pre-existing banks of content from the print magazine on line.

The design inspiration came from brides themselves – we wanted to reflect the ‘scrap book' of ideas which brides-to-be often keep – cutting out photos of dresses they like, jotting down ‘thing to remember’ on post-its etc. The task was to keep this informal and not boxy whilst also marshalling an enormous amount of information in a way which is easily accessible and not over-whelming to the visitor.

The website is entirely database driven – all of the content is dynamically generated. We have repurposed the existing content and fed it into the database to provide the visitor with all the information they could need in a friendly, community-focused site.
